He has been quiet lately and won't explain what it can be. Is a prostate biopsy a test for prostate cancer. What are the worst scenarios? He had a CT scan 2 years ago of his chest and there were visible spots on his lungs. He never went for a follow up. What are the symptoms of prostate cancer. Thanks!
Prostate biopsy? My dad had a bladder test, MRI and is having a prostate biopsy.?
My daughter is only 14 and she has started to get crows feet under her eyes. her skin's really dull and she has dark puffy circles under her eyes. Her legs have these big red spots on her legs when she gets out of the shower. She's had headaches everyday for 4 years now and she always takes Panadol and I'm scared because her liver and kidneys. She went for a CT scan and it came back normal. Though I don't think, it's right the doctor might have read it wrong. Please tell me your opinion. Could it be a tumor? Cancer?
Desperate Help Needed!?
I am curious how most stomach cancers are diagnosed?? I am terrified I have something horrible like this because of my health anxiety. I have multiple symptoms that are stomach related including acid reflux (bad), indigestion, burning above belly button and fullness in right side of abdomen. I have had lots of tests including 8 different CBC blood panels, 2 barium xray upper GI studies and 3 CT scans with contrast and they have seen nothing. What are the odds of me still having it? This has been going on for about a year.It was the drs ordering the tests..These have been done over the past year due to abdominal discomfort, they are trying to tell me now its gall bladder but without any medical evidence (they say I have classic symptoms). I am just terrified of cancer though.I've never had EGD..I was scheduled for it 4 times and freaked out everytime..
How is stomach cancer diagnosed?

Any Chances for Last stage of Cancer?
My husband has stage 4, non-small cell lung cancer mets to the bones, He just finished 15 days of radiation and 3 radiation enhancing doses of Taxol chemo. The radiation was targeted at a large tumor in the lungs. How soon can they do a CT or PET scan and see if it helped or if we need to change treatment stratagies. He is starting Carboplatin next week.
How soon after radiation therapy can they do tests to see if it's working?
Back in july I had a yearly female checkup and I mentioned to her at the time that I had been experiencing some dull pain in my right lower abdomen, bloating in my belly and showed her some stretch marks that had developed over the area that was. I also mentioned that I had been feeling bone tired and a little lethargic, She was more concerned thought that both of my legs were very swollen--I hadn't even noticed that. She tested me for diabetes and told me I should see my gp if i was still not feeling well. I didn't even think of mentioning that I'd been having issues with my movements. I thought if anything I had an ovarian cyst. The tests for diabetes came back normal and I didn't really give it any more thought. Flash forward to the beginning of November and I had what I thought was a stomach flu that just would not go away--vomitting and diarrhea. I finally went to the doctor and repeated my story about the pressure in my lower right abdomen, and he got me in for a CT scan immediately thinking it could be an appendicitis. He called me a few days later and let me know that he wanted me to get in for a colonoscopy and was referring me to a gastroentologist because they found what looked to be a 2.5 cm "bilobulated Mass" near the cecum in my ascending colon. He was reluctant to answer my questions and said he thought it would be best if I saved them for the Gastroentologist. When I spoke with the Gastroentologist he started talking about something they saw with the small intestine (jejunum?) that he thought might be a duplication cyst on the left side of my upper abdomen. He seemed to not even be aware of the mass. When I asked about it he said that it might just be a problem with the CT scan and said he would have them schedule me as a priority but not an emergency. Well the first "priority" colonoscopy I could get was 12/15-- a month later. I at this point was not worried, after all if it was really urgent they would have gotten me in sooner and the duplication cyst didn't sound like a big deal. He did however want me to have a small bowel follow through done to check out the "duplication cyst" ASAP. When I went in for that test, the radiologist painted a different picture. He said that what they saw on the left side was thickening of the folds and was almost certainly NOT a duplication cyst. Then he asked me what I knew about the mass. I told him what I knew and he said that what they saw looked like it was on the outside wall of the colon, if that was the case the colonoscopy may not show anything which would mean surgery. He asked if I had been loosing wait which I had. I think that is when I started to get scared. I asked if they thought it was cancer and he said they can't tell anything until they get a biopsy. That was 3 weeks ago and I still haven't gotten the results for it and my colonoscopy isn't for 2 more weeks. I emailed my doctors office but have not heard back. I'm afraid I'm overreacting to all of this and do not want to turn into a hypochondriac. I'm just so tired, achey and now the pain is different. I've never dealt with anything like this before and I don't want to talke to my friends or family because I don't want them to know how worried I am. Can anyone help me make heads or tails out of this, please? Thanks for the responses. I actually received and email from the doctor and I got an earlier appointment - wed. The small bowel follow through was normal. And he ordered a ton of blood tests In answer to your question Denisedds, those were actually two different things he saw--the thickening of the folds was on the left side. What looked to be on the outside of the colon was the mass they saw on the ascending colon on the right side. I am with Kaiser and have not actually seen the report myself--only what the different doctors have told me they don't post those types of tests. I had blood work drawn last night and already have the results. Everything is normal except my sed rate which is high and my transferrin saturation which is low. Any idea if this means anything? The mixed blessing with Kaiser is that they post results on line for blood work--think I'll drive myself crazy trying to figure them out this weekend. On a separate note--so sorry to hear about your cancer crossstitchkelly. I'll keep you in my prayers. I hope your treatment is going well. I am experiencing very similar things to what you mention--No bleeding though. I'm holding on to that because the more research I do the more I am seeing that as a "hallmark" sign. Best of luck
Is it colon cancer any advice?
I was in the hospital today because of some pain in my abdomen and it ended up being a cyst on one of my ovaries. It is pretty painful right now but the doctor sent me home with some medication after doing a CT scan to find it, is a CT scan enough to know whether it could be cancerous? If not, what kind of tests should I be asking for? Also, if it is just a functional cyst, can it turn cancerous or rupture? If it can, what would cause it to become cancerous or rupture?
I just found out I have a cyst on one of my ovaries, can this get worse or turn in to cancer?
i am 45 yr old male, smoker since 16,went for ct scan on my abdomen, prostate problems, multiple nodules were found on my lungs,is this likely to be cancer, going for another ct scan thurs.
should i worry about lung nodules?
For months now I have had severe abdominal pain, frequent nausea, extreme fatigue, lack of appetite, and have had the urgency to urinate all the time even when I cant, I am only 17 so I know that it is extremely rare to have ovarian cancer. Nobody seems to be taking me seriously though because of my age even my Doctor. I had a CT Scan and I have 2 cysts on each ovary but I wasn't told how large or anything. I also had a regular Pap done but she never really told me the results. Does a regular Pap test for Ovarian Cancer? My mom said it does and I shouldnt worry but I have researched it a lot and I am pretty sure it doesnt. I just feel like something is not right with my body but then again I don't know if I am just being stupid. I would get a second opinion but my mom doesn't think I need to worry but I think I know my body better than she does. So can someone please tell me if I should continue to worry or just forget about it and quit over reacting?also they detect Hcg levels in my blood tests..not sure if that is relatedThank you Everyone for your responses..I am going to quit worrying about the Ovarian Cancer but I would really like to quit having so much pain and being sick all the time..it is my senior year and I havent been to school for weeks. I am still a virgin so it is very unlikely that I am pregnant However Ive had 2 postive Blood pregnancy tests. The only reason I had the CT scan was because i went to the ER and I actually had a postive pregnancy test that night but thet took a second one and it came out negative. Both were blood tests. I am just very confused. I had messed around a little so is it possible I could be pregnant and if I was could the CT scan of killed it? I am so frustrated!
